And just like that, Roo Organics was born

As pediatricians, we spend our days caring for children with every imaginable skin concern - from newborn dryness to relentless eczema flares that keep families up at night. We recommend moisturizers, barrier balms, fragrance-free washes, and “hypoallergenic” lotions. But after years of reading ingredient labels, patch-testing products, and watching families struggle to find something truly safe and truly effective, one feeling kept surfacing:

Frustration.

Frustration that products marketed for babies still contained unnecessary fragrances and harsh preservatives.
Frustration that “clean” didn’t always mean clinically safe.
Frustration that parents had to choose between elegant packaging or evidence-based formulas - not both.
Frustration that truly gentle, nourishing options were either hard to find or prohibitively expensive.

And most of all, frustration that our tiny patients, who deserve the gentlest start, were still battling irritated, inflamed, uncomfortable skin.

So, like many meaningful things in medicine, Roo Organics started as a conversation between two tired residents after clinic one afternoon:

“There has to be a better option.”
“Why don’t we make it ourselves?”

And just like that, Roo Organics was born.
